Chairman's Welcome to 2007 Show

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the Annual Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show 2007. This is my second term as Chairman, and I feel very proud to have been elected once again for this, our 63rd Show. The Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show is undoubtedly one of the largest one - day events held in Wales where there is something of interest for all members of the family and where you will see the very best livestock and produce on show.
Our President this year is Mr Dave Stewart, Cambrian Garage, Aberystwyth who has sponsored the Show for many years as well as providing vehicles for use on the Showground. May I take this opportunity of wishing him well in his year of office. One of the main attractions this year will be the ever growing Vintage Section of the Show organised by Paul Standing and his family and I'm sure there will be something of interest to all of you in this part of the showground.I would like to thank Paul Standing and his family for all their hard work.
Organising and running an event of this size requires a dedicated team of hardworking individuals and needless to say Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show has an abundance of these. Firstly I must thank our hardworking, proffesional and dedicated Secretary, Mrs Heulwen Bulman, who works untiringly throughout the year with the aim of keeping the high standards that the Show strives to achieve. We are also fortunate in having Nia James, HSBC Bank as our Hon Treasurer. I would like to thank Nia and her staff for their continued support.
We are fortunate to have a unique site to accommodate our Show at Gelli Angharad fields and I would like to thank Iwan Jones and the Jones Family at Abercwmdolau, for their continuing co-operation.
I wish to thank our Sponsors for their continued support. Thanks must also go to our hard working committee members, volunteers and stewards who have all contributed to ensure the success of the Show.
In any competition taking part is the aim and therefore last but not least may I thank all the exhibitors for their loyal support as without you there would be no Show.
Finally, may I thank the general public for supporting the Show and in doing so showing your support for  the Agricultural Industry which is the backbone of life, language and culture here in rural Wales.Should you have any suggestions for adding to or improving the Show in any way please forward them to us.
Have an enjoyable day with us and please take your time to wander around the host of trade stands as well as viewing the excellent standards of livestock and produce on show.
Health and Saftey regulations are paramount so please be careful whilst enjoying yourselves.

Croeso'r Cadeirydd i Sioe 2007

Pleser ac anrhydedd i mi yw eich croesawu i Sioe Aberystwyth a Sir Ceredigion 2007. Hwn ydyw fy ail gyfnod fel Cadeirydd a theimlaf yn falch iawn or anrhydedd i gael fy ethol i'r swydd unwaith eto eleni yn ein 63ydd Sioe. Heb os nac oni bai mae Sioe Aberystwyth a Sir Ceredigion yn un o ddigwyddiadau undydd mwyaf  yma yng Nghymru ac mae rhywbeth at ddant pawb o'r teulu. Cewch weld y goreuon o anifeiliaid a chynnyrch yn y Sioe.
Ein Llywydd eleni yw Mr Dave Stewart, Cambrian Garage, Aberystwyth sydd wedi noddi'r Sioe ers sawl blwyddyn bellach yn ogystal a chynnig ceir yw defnyddio yn ystod y Sioe. Hoffwn ddymuno'n dda iddo yn ei flwyddyn gyntaf fel ein Llywydd. Un o brif atyniadau'r Sioe eleni yw'r arddangosfa o hen beiriannau, adran boblogaidd sy'n tyfu bob blwyddyn ac yn cael ei drefnu gan Paul Standing a'u deulu. Hoffwn ddiolch iddynt am eu gwaith ddiflino i drefnu'r Adran hon ac rwy'n sicr y gwelwch rhywbeth i'ch diddori chwi yno.
Mae trefnu a rhedeg Sioe fel hon yn gofyn am ymroddiad tim o weithwyr diwyd, a balch gennyf ddweud fod y tim gennym ar bwyllgor Sioe Aberystwyth a Sir Ceredigion. Hoffwn ddiolch yn gyntaf i'n hysgrifennyddes weithgar, proffesiynol a thrwyadl Mrs Heulwen Bulman am barhau i gyflawni ei gwaith mor nodedig ac i gyrraedd gofynion gorau phosibl. Rydym hefyd yn ffortunus iawn i gael Trysorydd weithgar iawn yn Nia James o Fanc HSBC a hoffwn ddiolch yn fawr iawn iddi am ei gwaith gwych fel ein Trysorydd.
Mae safle'r Sioe ar gaeau Gelli Angharad ar dir ffrwythlon fferm Abercwmdolau ac 'rydym yn wir falch i Iwan Jones a theulu Abercwmdolau am eu cymorth parod i ddefnyddio'r safle odidog hon i gynnal ein Sioe.
Diolch i'n holl Noddwyr am eu cefnogaeth haelionus. Carwn ddiolch i holl aelodau ein Pwyllgor gweithgar am eu gwaith caled trwy'r flwyddyn yn ogystal a pharatoi'r cyfan gogyfer a'r dydd gyda chymorth ein gwirfoddolwyr a stiwardiaid i gyd.
Mewn unrhyw gystadleuaeth cymeryd rhan sy'n bwysig ac felly hoffwn ddiolch i chwi arddangoswyr i gyd am eich parodrwydd i gystadlu a chofiwch hebddoch chwi nid oes Sioe.
Yn olaf, hoffwn ddiolch i chwi, y cyhoedd am ein cefnogi ac wrth wneud yr ydych hefyd yn cefnogi ein Diwydiant Amaeth sy'n asgwrn cefn i'n bywyd, iaith a'n diwylliant yma yng nghefn gwlad Cymru. Os oes gennych unrhyw syniadau i ychwanegu neu i wella'r Sioe mewn unrhyw ffordd, anfonwch eich syniadau atom.
Mwynhewch eich diwrnod gyda ni yn Sioe Aberystwyth a Sir Ceredigion ac wrth grwydro o gwmpas maes y Sioe sylwch ar ddifyrwch ein Stondinau Masnachol yn ogystal a safon uchel yr holl anifeiliaid a chynnyrch yn y Sioe.
Mae rheolau Iechyd a Diogelwch yn holl bwysig - felly cymerwch ofal tra yn mwynhau.
